PICK THE JOKER GOES FOF AGAIN

Congratulation to Laurie Dickson who was luck enough to PICK THE JOKER on Friday night after the raffles taking home the cash prize of $350. There was still 48 cards on the board to choose from when Laurie had his pick. All 53 cards are now reset and the Jackpot resets to $100 for this coming Friday the 22nd of July. Each week that the joker does not get selected, it will jackpot $50 weekly. 
ALL NEW GAMING PROMOTION

Starting this Saturday the 16th of July, there will be an all new major gaming promotion starting called 'Çrack the Safe'. Simply play a machine with your card inserted between 12.45pm and 6pm for your chance to play. With every $10 win or more on a gaming machine to receive a virtual entry into the promotion. Every half hour from 1pm, a member will have their name drawn out from the virtual draw for a chance to Crack the Safe. To crack the safe, you will need to correctly enter the 3 digit number into the safe. If you open the safe the current Jackpot amount will be all yours. The Jackpot will start at $3000 and increase by $1000 every week until the safe is cracked. 
BABY SHOW

It’s officially baby season at the Bribie Island Bowls Club with one of their very loyal staff members, Cassie Mckenzie due to have a baby on the 4th of September. With all the baby talk and clucking staff, there is no better time to hold a baby show for all of the gorgeous babies and toddlers in the Moreton Bay region.
The baby show will be held on Monday the 29th of August at the Bribie Island Bowls Club located at Bongaree opposite the Bongaree Jetty at 11am and opened to children ages 0-5 years old. Entry is only $15 per child which includes entry into the Prince or Princess division and will also entry into the ‘suburbs favourite girl’ or ‘boy’ division which will be held on the clubs Facebook page. The boy and girl with the most likes on their submitted photo will be judged the winner. Entries for this division will go live and be open for likes on Monday the 8th of August and close on Sunday the 28th of August.
You will also have the option to enter into novelty events for only $5 per event. There are 7 novelty categories including picture perfect, most beautiful eyes and personality plus.
All money raised on the day will go into helping support the Bowlers of the Bribie Island Bowls Club. Registration is now open and an entry form is available for download online at www.bribiebowls.com or for further information call Angela on 3408 1018.

We would like to wish our member Bill Wilson a very happy 90th Birthday. Bill really went all out for his birthday and had family from all over Australia come and celebrate with him. Not to out do any other year... Bill decided it was time to cross off an item on his bucket list and go sky diving. Joined by all his family, Bill did it in style and was thrilled with the experience.

Elvis tribute show this month.
THEIR love of Las Vegas made them fast friends in the 60s and now Bribie Island residents can enjoy the music of Elvis Presley in a one-of-a-kind tribute show this Friday.
The Bribie Island Bowls Club will host the Elvis Presley tribute show Las Vegas Style which features local couple Bruno and Rita Iraci.
Mr Iraci said he and his wife have been working as performers for the past 16 years full-time and enjoyed entertaining crowds with their interactive shows.
The husband and wife duo have performed in Italy, France, North Queensland and the local area.
``We have both had a love for Elvis and since we have been involved in music over the years we just thought it would be fun to bring back Elvis memories in a Vegas-style show,'' Mr Iraci said. ``I also work as an Elvis celebrant so I'm no stranger to playing the singing icon.''

With the Passage right out side our doorstep it was only fitting that we ran a Win a Tinny Promo to get our New year started. The promo ran for several weeks and was drawn on Saturday the 19th of March. Our contestants who received a prize key ticket over the promotional period, had the opportunity to come up to the Prize table, Select a key from the bowl and try their luck to crack our safe. The winner was Dorothy Adams. Dorothy and her partner Richard were thrilled with the win.
"I never win anything" said Dorothy, "we had recently been talking about getting ourselves a boat". Dorothy and Richard moved back to Bribie Island in 2013 after nursing her father through illness. During their time of moving away they had to sell their boat when they moved so now they are back on Bribie Island they have retired and are looking forward to spending many of their days fishing and cruising the Pumicestone Passage.

The 26th of March marks the 28th Anniversary for her and her husband from the date they met each other, which was also the last time they had been out on a Fishing Charter together.
